As a society we feel the need to stay more connected than ever before. Be this with our friends colleagues and especially increasingly demanding customers. This ultimately comes from one of the biggest problems the web has, spam. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) will allow you to send email through their outbound email server while you are on their network, like you would be at home or work, because they know who you are. However, they won't allow you to send emails using their outbound SMTP mail server when you aren't on their network. If they did this, anyone would be able to send emails through their servers, including spammers. Now if people were sending spam out using their outbound mail servers these servers would very quickly be blacklisted and no one would be able to receive email from that ISP as all spam filters would block emails sent from those servers.

These clients and home users that require email whilst on-the-move have already taken steps to ensure they are still able to send emails while away from home or office by using Prolateral's outbound email service, called OutMail. This service allows users to quickly, reliably and securely send email from anywhere in the world, whilst still using their normal email client, for example Outlook. The only thing you need to do is change your outbound email settings, and once this is done, you can send email from anywhere.
