Prolateral offers primary and backup domain (DNS) services, with servers in key geographic locations providing the best service possible.

Prerequisites

In order to use the Backup MX (SMTP Backup) service you must meet the following criteria

  • You must own the domain name
  • You must have access to domain DNS settings
  • You will need to add an additional MX record to your master DNS (zone file)
  • You will to have a working primary mail server for the backup server to deliver to when all is good

If you use more than one domain then you will need to sign up each domain name you want to protect.
